The system of Reiki's most recent history has not focused on personal growth and yet it appears that the original concept of the teachings was exactly that. It is wise to remember that whatever is going on in our lives naturally affects those around us. Therefore if we heal - so do others.
A number of spiritual teachings have been gathered here to aid students to delve deeper into their own spirituality and further their own spiritual growth.
It is hoped that these teachings spark curiousness in the student and opens doors for them to further teachings with experienced teachers. Each teaching has a Japanese focus in attempt to keep a connection with the teaching's original roots.
Please print out the practices, read and then meditate upon them.
But first let us not forget the the spiritual teachings of the system of Reiki itself.
The 5 Reiki Precepts
The 5 precepts or affirmations were the first spiritual teachings presented to students of Usui Mikao. Chris Marsh states that their origin is from 9th century Buddhist precepts. Students must keep these teachings in mind daily.
